I’m gradually pulling up the summer purple sprouting broccoli plants and feeding them to the chickens. This is because they view aphids, snails and caterpillars as an essential part of their dining experience – and I don’t.
Emma Cooper is a freelance writer, photographer and podcaster. An active organic gardener, Emma lives in Oxfordshire with three plastic compost bins, two wormeries and a pair of bokashi bins. There used to be chickens, too, but they have all moved on to pastures new.
Emma loves making compost and growing edible & useful plants in an environmentally-friendly way.
